DUS cultured several species of carp and catfishes along with some brackish water fish combinedly this year. Along with field demonstrations, DUS also sold the matured fish with an estimated quantity of 5 ton in local market this year. DUS believes, this initiative will contribute to neutralize the protein deficiency in local community. PKSF is supporting thousands of fish farmers to culture both fresh and marine water fishes in the far flung char areas of Hatiya Island.
